Airflow dryer is a support equipment in pellet mill plant. It is used to dry the raw materials and remove excess water. For making pellets, the water content in raw materials should be kept between 10% and 20%. Drying is a necessary process for materials with high moisture content like grass and green straw.
Raw materials available: rice husk, saw dust and crushed wood shaving, branches and wood chips. The diameter should be less than 3mm, and the length should be less than 5mm.
Product efficiency: the temperature of air flow is between 180℃ and 300℃. At the temperature of 180℃, the airflow can lower the moisture content from 30% to 10%.

Airflow dryer (also known as airflow dryer) is a device that achieves rapid drying based on the instantaneous contact between high-speed hot airflow and materials. Its core working principle and process are as follows:
Wet materials enter the drying system through a conveyor or a feeding device and mix with the heated high-temperature airflow (usually heated by electricity, gas or steam). The high-speed hot airflow (wind speed 15-30m/s) impacts and shears the materials in the pipeline, breaking the agglomerates and dispersing them into fine particles, increasing the contact area between the materials and the hot air.
The materials enter the drying tube (or cyclone dryer) along the tangential direction of the spiral trajectory with the hot airflow, and collide and rub against the tube wall under the action of centrifugal force, forming a rotating vortex, which enhances the heat and mass transfer efficiency. The drying process only takes 0.5-7 seconds, quickly evaporating surface moisture and non-bound moisture, and avoiding the denaturation of heat-sensitive components (such as starch and enzyme preparations) due to long-term heating.
The dried material is separated from the solid by a cyclone separator (sacron), and the dry material is discharged from the bottom. The waste gas and water vapor are discharged after being treated by a dust removal device. Part of the waste gas can be recycled for fresh air preheating, reducing energy consumption by about 20%-30%.
